Labour Vice Chair and Membership Secretary is now Bill Dolphin.
Frances Bovill gave up as vice chairman to spend more time at home. Since then a general election has come to seem possibly much more imminent, and a victory as large as last time less sure. This has helped to bring about a tightening of our campaigning structure. As well as our candidate for the election, Austin Mitchell of course, we also have an agent, Steve Elliott.
Despite Labour's poor showing in the opinion polls we have had an influx of new members, and morale is good. Active preparations are being made for next year's local elections as well as the general election.
Labour Party Treasurer
Sylvia Moss was born and raised in New Haven Terrace, Grimsby and has lived and worked in the North East Lincs area all her life. She is married with one son and a grandson, and with the support of family and friends, has contributed to the community in her working life. She was Manager of Victim Support until recently.Brought up to be politically aware, she has always believed in fighting injustice in society; and this led to membership of the Labour Party. As Treasurer of the Constituency Party she attends meetings and supports colleagues wherever and whenever she can.
She is a great believer in working with people for maximum efficiency and for her this means partnership working;, something she has done all her working life. For many years this meant supporting victims of crime.
